Join Australian Tapestry Workshop Friends Joan Korn and Alexandra Merrett for a special tour at the Melbourne Museum to view the Federation Tapestries.
Commissioned to mark the centenary of Australia’s Federation, the tapestries together measure almost 41 metres in length and took ATW weavers an estimated 20,000 hours to complete. The ten tapestry panels represent the collaboration of some 72 artists, weavers and school children for a varied and diverse vision of Australia.
Discover more about these significant tapestries and the history of the ATW.
