Weaving Worlds is a free day of weaving workshops, demonstrations and talks by Master Tapestry Weavers and Pacific Women Weavers at the Australian Tapestry Workshop. Saturday 7 May 2016, 10am to 4pm

Weaving Worlds is a free day of weaving workshops, demonstrations and talks by Master Tapestry Weavers and Pacific Women Weavers at the Australian Tapestry Workshop. 

Learn Pacific weaving techniques and try your hand at tapestry weaving in this creative and cultural exchange of ideas, techniques, art and craft. Contributing weavers include; Cresside Collette, Lisa Hilli, Rachel Hine, Kirsten Lyttle, Gina Ropiha and Joy Smith.

 

Saturday 7 May 2016, 10am to 4pm 

 

This workshop welcomes participants from all backgrounds and levels of weaving experience, over the age of 15. Places are limited to 40, please book online to ensure your place.

 

This event will be supported by an exhibition of works by these weavers at the Australian Tapestry Workshop from 3 May to 17 June 2016. There will be a closing party for the exhibition on 16 June 2016, 6 to 8pm

 

The is a free event supported by the City of Port Phillip Cultural Development Fund.
