Learn the traditional Japanese method of Kami-ito, turning washi/Japanese paper into beautiful threads with our current Artist in Residence, Misako Nakahira.
You will fold, cut, roll, and separate the washi to create fibre strands that can later be applied to knitting, embroidery, and weaving. Experiment and add materials to the paper to create your own unique threads!
All skill levels, 16+
