3-day Intermediate Weaving with Cresside Collette - Weaving the Landscape

This workshop provides an opportunity for tapestry weavers with some experience to enlarge their skills in drawing, design and weaving. Drawing inspiration from landscape forms, participants will be guided through the process of creating a small individual work. 

The starting point for this workshop is an examination of the 'idea of landscape'. There will also be a discussion of how artists and tapestry weavers have reacted to and incorporated natural forms into their work. 

NB: This class is for people with that have completed our Learn to Weave class or medium level weavers who want to refine and improve their skills.

Wednesday 10 - Friday 12 October 2018, 10am to 4pm (3 days)

Cost: $420

(includes materials: 10 cones of yarn, warp, needles, notes. PLEASE NOTE: Does not include loom, bobbin & clamp, these can be purchased separately at the ATW if needed)

Please also bring: drawing materials that you enjoy using (e.g. pencils, paints, pastels), paper, images of landscapes (photographic or other) you find inspiration, magazine photos to cut up and collage, and a glue stick.
