Please join the Friends of the ATW for a special evening of talks with weavers Cresside Collette and Sara Lindsay.

Cresside and Sara were both foundation weavers at the ATW. Along with Merrill Dumbrell, Marie Cook and Liz Nettleton, they were part of the first team of weavers at who began in 1976, and their ground-breaking work and approach to collaboration helped shaped the culture and vision of the ATW.

In the years since, Cresside and Sara have both established their independent tapestry practices beyond the ATW. Both continue to exhibit their work in national and international exhibitions, while also playing a vital part in the education and promotion of the art of tapestry weaving to new audiences and students.

For this talk, Cresside and Sara will speak of their individual experiences working with the ATW from 1976 to the present day, and some of the major projects they were part of as production weavers. Their talks will also give an insight into their artistic practices beyond the ATW, and some of their most recent projects and exhibitions.

These talks will be followed by an open discussion between Cresside and Sara as they reflect on their individual tapestry journeys to date.
